Our Goal / Motivation
Here at Pleasant View LLC our main goal is quality, not just because thats what you the client wants, but because we try and maintain a positive work environment with a motivated workforce. Due to this we are the kind of people who take pride in what we do. We want to drive by your house or business 20 years from now and make our grandkids and children proud we were able to help you make your property so beautiful. Whether it's a new building, a remodeling job, landscape/hardscape or all the above, we will do the best job possible so at the end of the day we can pat each other on the back and know we took part in making one more client's living conditions much more Pleasant and positive. After all our name is Pleasant View and our name is our reputation.

Can Clients trust Pleasant View's Employees ?
For peace of mind for clients and myself, we do criminal background checks prior to hiring any employees. Generally minor crimes are excused as long as the incident was at least 3 years prior to employment. Charges (such as burglary) are an obvious disqualification for employment. All criminal checks are carefully reviewed and investigated prior to a chance at employment. We also do scheduled and random drug screening to ensure safety and prove ones' self respect. If one has no self respect, then how would they respect clients or myself? These are a few of many precautions taken to protect our valued reputation here at Pleasant View LLC.

History

I started my construction business in October 2001. I had a lot of experience in construction through working for many other contractors and businesses involving construction. To mention a few: Preston Boop Masonry, RA Yoder Masonry, Yount Contracting and Seamless Gutter , Mifflinburg Decorating Center, Jayco, West Branch Rental, Briar Patch Organic Farms, United Stone Veneer, and a good many uncles and other family members in this business. If you check around my home town of Mifflinburg PA it won't take long for you to see that this construction thing Runs in The Stahl Family dating all the way back to the Von Stahl's in Europe a long long time ago.
I was a young ambitious fellow when September 11 2001 rolled around. I was helping build a church in Danville PA when the attacks began. I remember the anger we Americans shared that day. Unfortunately it didn't take long at all for the Economic status of our country to be in question. I had planned on starting my own business at some point but had originally planned to wait a year or two. But I saw the fear in everyones eyes after 9/11. I admit I was scared as-well, but somehow I knew if we allowed our people to be scared into recession that would give our attackers what they came for. Sure I am only one man but I thought if I could motivate a handful of people to push forward then I would at that point be at peace knowing I tried. So this all began, (my construction business). Since, with God's help, I have been able to encourage way more people than I ever imaged I could. I have made it a point to convince people to see that giving up in life is losing, trying no matter the outcome is winning. A favorite quote of mine is,
"Every man can make a difference and every man should try". You see this business was never all about Garett Stahl. This business allows me to meet people I never would have met and thus gives me the opportunity to try and encourage them. Lets face it folks, positivity is contagious. If you experiencing my positive energy makes you smile a little more, than your smile effects everyone you come in contact with a circle of happiness is created in a world of sorrow, well we have just made a difference in each others lives. With that, my mission and goal is accomplished and continued by you and I. I then make sure to do the highest quality of work for you, and then you refer Pleasant View to a friend and I am given yet another chance at trying to make a difference. I don't know if you are a believer in all of us having a calling, but I have traveled the world and searched high and low and I am now convinced this business is and was always my calling.
For more history on me (Garett Stahl) I am in the middle of writing a book called A Quest for Life. The book talks about who we are as humans and why we are here. I use many things I learned in my world studies to try and help the reader understand us and how to deal with day to day stress. When this book is edited and published I will put a link on the website for you.
